feeling like being a kid again

By Ron Kule

My body might be older, but I feel like a teenager every day. It makes me feel like Life is good and fruitful opportunities are ahead of me.

I owe this perspective on living to myself. I have always wanted to make people leaving me feel a bit better for having met me than before we met. I noticed this first when I was a teenager and have continued my purpose well into my age over 60. I decided I liked that about me and I wanted to keep it alive, so I have.

I believe what you think determines how you feel and how your body operates for you; not the other way around. I guess that's why people think I am in my 40s when I am really 62 and going on 63 later this month!

I'm also a fan of, "What goes around, comes around." I have tried to live my life by helping others and giving them a smile whenever I meet someone new, even passersby on the streets. Maybe that's why I feel so young. Since I have traveled into and through 35 countries I feel like I have acquaintances all over the world.

To sum up, I firmly believe if you want to feel young you need to maintain a greater interest in the well-being of others than your self. Besides, it's great to feel like a teen even though my body is 62!

P.S. Okay, I'll confess. My certainty about feeling so young is that I have always known that I am not my body; that I am a spiritual being with a long legacy and a future that is an unblemished canvas upon which I can paint anything and any way I wish.

Contributor's Note

To feel younger, it is only necessary to do good things and to change your mind in that direction.

Thanks for sharing the good positive thoughts and actions, Ron.
It drives me crazy to see people shuffle across the parking lot, like life has no meaning. Hold your head up and walk with a purpose. A smile always helps!
Best wishes.

James, write me again on Feb 28 - the birthday date.
Yep, that's my secret...and it's everybody else's, too. LOL

Outstanding intel. If more people understood this, and it does seem like each and every day more do, there would be a lot more productive work getting done and a lot less moaning and groaning. I am going right over to Kule Healthy News where I expect to find many other comments with which I fervently agree

Janet, your words are so kind. Looks like a kindred spirit there, to me! ;)
