making a secure life...
By Ron Kule
When one thinks of security it is common to think of security for a home or an office to protect one's important valuables. But there is another kind of security to consider: feeling secure every day while dealing with one's home or work life. Fear of the unknown leads to jealousies; fear of what to do next leads to stagnation...so how does one overcome the vacuum that leads to fear? An understanding of what is fear should be the first step to handling fear and bringing about personal security. Fear is simply an emotion brought about by any danger that is real or imagined; as such, fear is usually an unwanted reaction to either an external or internal stimulus or event, real or imagined. Security derives from knowledge that supplants the reaction of fear, that fills the vacuum of the unknown. Such knowledge can be gained after fear is felt, by looking and analyzing the facts, but a good education can prevent a life filled with fear. It is not that the information one learns breeds security; it is that a confidence (certainty) results from correct study and lots of practical application (practice). Fear yields to a security based upon the most stable of foundations: one's own certainty, proven ability and an expanded awareness of life and living. The road to security is paved by real understandings of what may be not-known but can be known, and upon what can be learned and applied successfully.
Ron Kule writes about many things, including healthy products, significant events, opinions about how to make the economy better, and his own creative writing projects including poetry, short stories, novels and screenplays. Some of these will be available on his upcoming web site, coolartworks.com

Contributor's Note
There is a security in knowing factually more about one's life. The one who thinks he knows it all cannot learn, which leads to insecurity and fear in the long run.

So true, Ron. Fear is a paralyzing influence on our lives. It's what prevents people from pursuing their dreams. It is fear that creates the "glass is half empty" attitude, as opposed to the "glass is half full". Great intel. Regards, Jim
CONTRIBUTOR'S REPLY
Jim, thanks for your comment. I have known people who project their fears on others who then became fearful and stagnated, too. Disagree, and go free...is my motto!
I keep this paralyzing emotion under control by simply intending safety at all times. Works for me... :)
