the power of prayer within us
By Ron Kule
The power of prayer resides within each of us, because in our own universes we are gods. Individuals all, we have abilities to create, to communicate and to agree with others. Imagination is the ability to create purely whatever we wish to conjure up for ourselves. Communication is where we coordinate our thoughts and ideas with others. Agreement is the glue which brings about new realities in concert with other beings. Prayer brings to bear upon a problem all of the abilities aforementioned: imagination, communication and agreement. Prayer is never a singular activity; one has at least to pray to someone or upon something other than one's self. Prayer is so powerful that a group of people praying together can change conditions and events...and in history there are many examples of this. Underlying prayer is not one's belief in a God, because prayers work for anyone regardless of their specific belief. The underpinnings to prayer are abilities - the ability to imagiune, communicate and agree; this makes prayer an outcome of ability and not belief. The power of prayer is the manifestation of the power of spiritual beings, and we are, each and every one of us, spiritual beings. We are not bodies or minds, for these are things and thoughts only. We are who we are, and our abilities are native to us solely. Prayer proves this: when we pray things change, and we pray in so many different ways.
Ron Kule writes about many things, including healthy products, significant events, opinions about how to make the economy better, and his own creative writing projects including poetry, short stories, novels and screenplays. Some of these will be available on his upcoming web site, coolartworks.com

Appreciate your comment, Frederick.
Very interesting! The notion that prayer is based on ability more than belief is a radical concept, but I think it is a good one.

Thank you for your comment to my intel. Ever since I was young I have been aware that we all are not bodies; we are separate spiritual beings, and when we act in concert as such we wield a lot of power; thus, the power of prayer.
"Agreement is the glue which brings about new realities in concert with other beings." seems to me to be a very interesting idea when using prayer. Good Intel.

Thanks so much for your agreement. Let's agree that Haiti's troubles will take a fast turn for the better this weekend, okay?
